One of my favorite models! She has an ability to come across as so very strong yet wonderfully feminine.

I love the way you use light and think your low key studio shots are absolutely amazing. Work like yours inspires me to continue to learn and grow to better myself as a photographer.

hehe...  sometimes it's funny to have such an understated title like that.  ;-)

An amazing rock formation there.  Great how you have framed her in the center of the two larger masses.

I was almost going to comment, "Hard and Soft", but the way the rock is formed, it almost appears to have a pillowed texture.  Contrast that with Melissa's dancer muscle tone... and I'm not sure which would be the stronger!  :D

Nice how you use the lines to pull in to her face.  Of course, Melissa has a wonderful body, but it's always her eyes and the expression on her face that pulls me into the image.

If ever you wonder
where I have flown to,
  find me here -
    dancing with time,
       frozen in its effervescent waves,
hidden in the folds of the rock.

Love your verse here Charles. I like the "effervescent waves" frozen in the rock...  such rock can indeed preserve the marks of currents in its layers; though the "tafoni"weathering pattern comes afterwards, it does look like froth on the waves!

Thanks too for such a wonderful appreciation of the image. You've mentioned just the key things I so admire about Melissa as a model. I can attest to the fact that she's also a delight to be around in person as I'm sure comes out in the generous and playful spirit of her comments on DA.

Well, one of us should pass it along to Melissa

I've seen other rock formations which have similar effects, especially in various limestone formations.  One area we visited in the Czech Republic had a huge number of these.  Whatever the mechanism, they do remind me of water and foam...

Some day, perhaps I'll actually be able to meet Melissa.   :-)

Oh, my pleasure. Any picture of Melissa (and, by extension, anyone she works with) is certainly worth a visit. Beautiful gallery.
